1.   Summary

This product bulletin announces the ability of NetApp resellers to quote SupportEdge Secure for Government (SESG) support services without ordering installation services from NetApp with the June quote tool release. This allows NetApp resellers to provide the installation services themselves, as they can with SupportEdge Premium and SupportEdge Standard.

2.   What’s New

NetApp resellers now have the ability to quote SupportEdge Secure for Government (SESG) support services without ordering installation services from NetApp. The SupportEdge Secure for Government (SESG) Onsite option is modeled after SupportEdge Premium, and Premium includes installation, except when resellers quote and order Premium without installation, providing the installation services to the end customers themselves. However, until now there was no option to for resellers to deselect quoting and ordering installation for SESG as they can for Premium.

This change affects only the SupportEdge Secure for Government (SESG) Onsite option, not the SESG Parts Delivery option. The SESG Onsite option includes security-cleared personnel for installation (if installation services are ordered) and Onsite Event Support, whereas the SESG Parts Delivery option does not include security-cleared personnel for installation (or for any Onsite Event Support).

The new ordering ability allows NetApp resellers to provide the installation services themselves, as they can with SupportEdge Premium and SupportEdge Standard; or resellers can quote and order installation services from NetApp, depending on their situation.
